Minister of State pays visit to historical sites around Naas

Minister of State Malcolm Noonan visited historic sites  in Naas on Thursday.

The visit was organised by Green Party Senator Vincent P. Martin.

The Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage visited St. David’s Castle, Naas as well as Killossy Church and St Patrick's Well in Killashee.

Senator Martin said that next steps will be for the local community to seek funding to safeguard and preserve such buildings and sites which are rich in heritage.

The visiting guests in attendance included Parish Priest of Naas, Fr Liam Morgan and Rev Carol Hennessy as well as local councillors.
