The Naas Country Market, which has been at home in the Naas Town Hall since 1994, is moving to the foyer of The Moat Theatre on Friday, 1st February.

The Country Market sells an assortment of delicious homemade cakes, pastries and bread.

Also available are fresh vegetables, free range eggs, savoury dishes, crafts, flowers and plants - all supplied by local people.

Welcoming the Market, The Moat Theatre will be giving away one of their brand new Moat Tote bags to the first 20 customers on the morning.

The reusable cotton bag is an eco-friendly alternative to plastic shopping bags.

The Moat Theatre Manager, Celine Garvey says: “We are delighted to welcome the Market to The Moat Theatre.

"The space here at The Moat is evolving into a hub for the community.

"On Tuesday mornings there will be a Journaling Club, we are looking at having a Crafting Club on Wednesday mornings, and the Cuidiú group supporting new and nursing mothers is on Thursday morning.

"We serve coffee and homemade soups and cake during the day. With the Country Market relocating from the Town Hall on Friday mornings, the Theatre building will be active every day instead of just at night.

"Our location makes perfect sense for the Market relocation as we’re next to the Town Hall with parking on Abbey Street.”
