New parking bye-laws in Kilcock should get rid of people 'selfishly parking all day' says Cllr

Parking in Kilcock could soon be for a limited time under bye laws being drafted in.
Following a motion by Fianna Fail Cllr Paul Ward at yesterday's Maynooth Municipal Meeting, it has been revealed that it should be possible to enforce parking bye-laws by means of a Chief Executives Order in accordance with Article 37(3) of the Road Transportation and Public Safety Act.
Speaking to KildareNow, Sinn Fein Cllr Reada Cronin, said that since Kilcock Square has been regenerated, there needs to be action taken in a bid to resolve the parking issues.
Cllr Cronin said: "We don't want a situation where people working in Dublin are selfishly parking all day in Kilcock."
She has suggested a Park 'n Ride system.
