Network Ireland Kildare Branch hosted their Annual Charity Lunch in the Osprey Hotel, Naas on Friday 9thNovember, to raise €32000 for the wonderful charity, Tiglin.
Tiglin offers services and programmes to help people recover from Addiction. Mary Kennedy kindly acted as MC for the event and Aubrey McCarthy not only wore his Tiglin hat but also conducted a very lively and successful auction of amazing items kindly donated, including tickets to see Celine Byrne in Concert, signed Leinster Jerseys with tickets to the Leinster v Bath game, a VIP shopping experience and voucher for Kildare Village, signed Dublin Jersey and lots more.
Also among the attendees were Sabina Higgins who took time out of her busy schedule to kindly attend the event along with Judge Gillian Hussey.
This hugely popular event was sold out within 3 weeks of launch and was supported by many businesses including Bank of Ireland, Goffs, Life Credit Union, Wellbeing Financial Services, Concannon Electrical Services, Ted Johnsons, Geraldine Baldrick Senior and Teahan Opticians kindly sponsored a Diamond Neckpiece. Newbridge Silverware kindly donated the beautiful Gift Bags, Balloon HQ supplied amazing balloon décor and Lucozade Ribena Suntory Ireland supplied soft drinks for the reception.
The Kildare Post, AIB and Local Enterprise Office Kildare also kindly support Network Ireland Kildare Branch events.
Network Ireland Kildare Branch President Grainne Slattery thanked everyone for supporting such an amazing charity by attending and donating prizes and spoke of the wonderful work that Tiglin does in its two centres and the No Bucks Café bus, an outreach service in Dublin.
The final amount raised will be presented to Tiglin at an event in the spring and the committee are delighted to exceed last years figure of €22500 which was raised for Breast Cancer Ireland.
