Round 2 of the Irish Rallycross Championship was held over 2 days jointed with the IDC Irish Drift Championship.

For 2017 Production Champion Ciaran Murphy of Clane it was a good one as he took all points in the final.

He now leads the championship with two wins from two.

His fellow Co Kildare men:  Damien Farrell of Celbridge was 4th and John Dowling from Naas was 6th.

It was a bad weekend for Vincent O'Rourke of Clane who in the final but did not finish.

In the Supercar's 2 from 2 for Irish champion Derek Tohill and the Modified went to Peter McGarry in his VXRX while in the Jnr's the win went to Ben Mullins.

Over 3,000 spectators turned out to see both events and were spoiled on Saturday with some sunny weather and a mild Sunday.

Both the IRX & IDC were very happy with the event hoping  to joint again in the coming year.

The next Round of the IRX will travel to Tynagh in Galway on May 22nd as the next Round of the IDC heads to the Drift in the Docks at Dun Laogaire Harbour on 26th / 27th May.
