Plans for new pedestrian bridge over Co Kildare river
Irish Water has applied for planning permission to build a new bridge over the river Rye in Leixlip.
The proposed pedestrian bridge will span 23m and be 5m high.
The planned structure will be 900m east of the existing Sandford's Bridge in the town.
The utility provider is also planning a wastewater pumping station in Leixlip.
