A councillor has demanded clearer advance signs to signal the Naas North exit off the N7.

Cllr Robert Power claimed to Kildare Co Council that southbound motorists unfamiliar with the route are currently undertaking 'dangerous' manoeuvres to come off at Junction 9.

Cllr Power said: "There is insufficient overhead and roadside signage on the N7 Naas North exit (from Dublin), often leading to dangerous situations whereby drivers are performing last minute lane changes.

"Tthe Council [should] write to the relevant body asking them to address this concern with improved signage well in advance of the exit."

The issue will be raised at the next meeting of the Naas Municipal District held at 3.30 pm on Tuesday, 18 July in the Town Hall, Naas.
