Reader calls out 'disgusting' behaviour of litter bugs in Curragh

A KildareNow reader has emailed us after she came across illegal dumping of tyres and other litter in the Curragh last night.

She said: "I am disgusted how people behave.

"There were also empty bottles and used instant barbecues left on Curragh. It's unbelievable what individuals can leave after their picnics and jogging.

"These photos show how much plastic rubbish we found.

"We didn't have enough hands to pick up everything!

"Another way to help prevent dumping is to provide more bins.

"There is no bin from Curragh to our house in Newbridge which is approx 8km.

"Cameras should be installed at junctions and investigations should proceed.

"This is not a big investment but would help to care more about our beautiful Curragh."
