A review of medieval enclosure in North Kildare was sought by a local councillor.
The review was submitted by Independent Cllr Pádraig McEvoy at the latest Clane-Maynooth Municipal District (MD) meeting on Friday, May 3 last.
Cllr McEvoy's motion read as follows: "That Kildare County Council (KCC) reviews the status of the medieval enclosure with the ruined church, graveyard and related monuments associated with St Farnan in Downings North and the opportunity to prepare a conservation strategy for the site."
