Reward on offer for racing car stolen at Mondello Park

A man is offering a reward for information on his specially constructed racing car stolen at a carpark in Mondello.
Raymie O'Leary, owner of a 99-D-84004 Honda Integra Dc2, stolen at Jap-Fest in Mondello, had spent several thousand euros preparing the car. Mr O'Leary had just completed work on the car 24 hours before it was stolen.
Mr O'Leary said: "I was there watching a race. The car left the gates at 2.30pm. I was in a bad way when it was stolen. " It is understood that the car was stolen from the carpark beside Gate One.
The mechanic had spent several months working on the car. Mr O'Leary is from Cashel, Co Tipperary, and regularly visits Mondello.
Meanwhile, Manager at Mondello Park, Roddy Greene, while confirming that the racing car was stolen, at Jap-Fest, on September 25 last, says there is not a lack of security at the venue.
Mr Greene said: "It is very unfortunate. There is a very comprehensive security system and CCTV. We take the theft of cars very seriously, it was a once off. We don't have an issue with cars being broken into."
