Ireland hosted the European Vintage Ploughing this year and local man Paddy Connolly from Carbury represented Ireland. Paddy ploughed very well over the three days and he represented the Kildare club proudly.
In the U21 Conventional Junior Plough Class, Aine Gray from Feighcullen, Rathangan ploughed extremely well on the Tuesday, and when the results were announced on the Tuesday evening, Aine won convincingly with a 5 mark gap back to second place.
On Wednesday, Ailish Osborne from Kilkea ploughed in the Farmerette class and when the results were announced on Wednesday evening, it was just 1 mark that separated first and second place, and thankfully the Kildare competitor came out on top.
Great result for the two Kildare girls with both bringing All Irelands back to Kildare. The girls will be presented with their awards at the annual banquet that is due to take place in Portlaoise in a couple of weeks.
Congratulations on all Kildare competitors over the three days.
