The St Patrick's Day Parade in Kilcock starts at 1.30pm on March 17.

The Grand Marshall is Ciaran Kilduff a local man who has played professional Soccer for Shamrock Rovers, Dundalk, Shelbourne, St. Patricks Athletic, Cork City and UCD. He has won five league titles and the FAI cup.

He is presently manager of Athlone ladies Football Club  who became winners of the 2023 Women's FAI cup and recently the President's Cup beating Shelbourne in the final.

The organisers said: "The Kilcock St. Patricks Day Parade committee would like to thank all our generous sponsors and all who donated.

"Thanks also to Kildare County Council for the community grant without all your support we would be unable to host the parade.

"The Parade itself starts at 1.30pm and moves from Spin Bridge down Church Street and into the Square in Kilcock where the different groups display their talents and entertain the crowds.

"This year we have a designated quiet zone where we ask the parade participants not to chant/sing/play music for anyone that may be adversely affected by loud noise. This area is in front of Scoil Dara.

"Our Wheelchair accessible area is in front of the viewing stand and there will be stewards on hand to help people access it.

"Everyone is welcome, and we look forward to seeing you all there."
