Kildare County Council has been asked to find a way of publishing the names of tenants who engage in serious anti-social behaviour.

Councillor Mark Lynch of Sinn Fein has also requested the Council to disclose who many tenancy agreements have been terminated across the county since 2014.

The politician also suggested that "we find a way of publishing the names of these same serious anti-social tenants, we list what the “end of the line” is for those who consistently breach their tenancy agreement through serious anti-social behaviour."

Cllr Lynch added that the Council must 'acknowledge that some tenants need to be removed from their homes due to the life changing disruption they cause their neighbours'.

The issue will be raised and the Council will respond at the next meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District next week.

At the same meeting Councillor Fiona McLoughlin Healy will call on the Council to outline its protocol for signing tenancy agreements with tenants including a breakdown of how many tenancy agreements have been signed in the municipal district since 2014; the number of tenancies signed by each councillor and the criteria for selecting councillors to sign tenancy agreements?
