The speed limits on Kildare's roads are set to fall

Rural roads will be first affected
Speed limits on rural roads in County Kildare will fall to 60 km/h rural road speed limit in early February, a Kildare County Council meeting was told.
KCC also intends to bring forward proposals to introduce a 30 km/h speed limit in all residential housing estates in County Kildare that are taken in charge.
KCC official Celina Barrett told the meeting that this limit, known as “Jake’s Law”, will follow because a number of procedures will have to be undertaken in advance, including a public notification process.
The councillors will be provided with information about the estates in their areas and the public consultation process will commence after the councillors are briefed before the end of March.
