UPDATE: Case against Kildare man accused of making criminal damage threat withdrawn by gardaí

Gardaí have officially withdrawn a Naas District Court case against a Newbridge man.

It was alleged back in October of 2023 that Michael Kane, with an address listed as 3466 Lakeside Park in Newbridge, made a threat to commit a criminal damage offence at a property located in Kildare town on September 19 last.

However, on the latest court date (Thursday, February 15 last), Judge Desmond Zaidan was told by gardaí that the charge against the 31-year-old was being withdrawn by the State.
