Vehicle and "men behaving suspiciously" spotted in the Broadfield area near Naas this am. 05 gold coloured jeep exited the scene when approached.

A local business man saw five men with three dogs exiting a property near Broadfield, Naas (opp Major Whitehead's entrance) circa 12.20am this morning.
"When I stopped to see what they were at, they became agitated, shone a bright light right into my face, and then quickly jumped into a jeep, similar to a Hyundai and took off, and drove without the lights on....
"They had thick accents and had three dogs with them; they were certainly up to no good and I phoned the Gardaí who felt they were perhaps casing the property".
Despite the men driving off without the lights on, the local man managed to see 05 on the registration and that it was a gold coloured vehicle. The incident occurred at the stretch of road from Broadfield, a few hundred yards before the entrance to Quinn's of Naas, on the Ballymore Road.
Home owners beware! With the Papal visit this weekend, Gardaí are further pleading with people NOT to post on social media that they are heading to the Phoenix Park for the arrival of Pope Francis, with 500,000 people expected to attend.
Declaring your property will be vacant for the day is simply extending an open invitation to burglars.
