Want an allotment in your area? Kildare Co Council launches survey

Kildare County Council are preparing to develop a ‘Kildare Allotment Strategy’, from which one potential allotment location may be identified in each of the five Municipal Districts: Leixlip-Celbridge; Clane-Maynooth; Naas; Newbridge-Kildare; and Athy.

To understand the demand for allotments and to prioritize the delivery of potential sites for such schemes in Kildare, the local authority wants to hear from the public via an online survey.

Whether you are an individual or part of a local community group, the Council is inviting you to submit your ideas for suitable locations for allotments in your town/village that are in accessible locations, are easily serviced, and are large enough to facilitate potential allotment developments.

For further details and to participate in the online survey visit the consultation portal at the following link:

The closing date for submissions is 5pm Tuesday, July 4th 2023.
