Woman to appear in court this morning charged in relation to tragic toddler death

A woman in her 40s is due to appear in court later this morning charged in connection with the homicide of three-year-old boy Omas Omran in Dublin on Monday.
Gardaí arrested a woman yesterday and she was detained in Crumlin Garda Station overnight before she appears at Criminal Courts of Justice, Court Number 3, this morning at 10.30am.
Gardaí believe that the child's mother, Maha Al-Adheem, was behind the attack, in which the young boy is said to have been subjected to more than 20 stab wounds. She was found in the apartment in Kimmage on Monday evening with stab wounds to her side, while the child had died by the time paramedics arrived.
The woman was brought to St James' Hospital for treatment for her injuries and was arrested yesterday morning in connection with the incident.
