The man appeared before Portlaoise District Court
A man appeared in court accused of having drugs for sale or supply in Portarlington.
Kevin Dunne (43) of 44 Ballymorris Manor, Portarlington, is accused of having drugs for sale or supply at R420 Supplies, Main Street, Portarlington and at his address on February 3, 2026.
Solicitor Brian Duffy said the case was in for directions and the matter had first been before the court on February 5.
Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said directions were available and the case related to an alleged large amount of drugs.
Mr Duffy said “we are nine months on. Would you consider marking it peremptory?”
Judge Andrew Gubbins said he would mark the case “time passing” and had adjourned it back to Portlaoise District Court on November 23 for DPP directions.
