Allegedly stole yoghurt from Dealz in Laois

A man has been accused of a public order offence and stealing a yoghurt valued at €1.75 from Dealz in Portlaoise Shopping Centre.
Partick Kelly (28) of 59 Gort na Noir, Abbeyleix is accused of stealing a yoghurt and engaging in threatening or abusive behaviour at Dealz, Portaloise Shopping Centre on August 24, 2024.
Although his client wasn’t present, Solicitor Philip Meagher said “there will be a plea” in relation to the offences.
Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby noted that the theft was “a very small amount allegedly”.
Judge John Brennan adjourned the case back to Portlaoise District Court on March 24.
