A woman appeared in court accused of intimidating a witness at the Portlaoise Courthouse.

Lisa O’Sullivan, 43, of 51 Crann Nua, Edenderry Road, Portarlington is accused of threatening to kill or cause serious harm and intimidating a witness at Portlaoise Courthouse on February 10 this year.

The woman was granted bail with strict conditions including a signing on at a local garda station and to stay away from the alleged injured party.

Garda Rebecca Gavin said it would be alleged the woman made threats at the courthouse against another woman.

She said it is alleged that in front of the courthouse, Ms O’Sullivan threatened “to slash” a woman.

Judge Andrew Cody accepted jurisdiction and remanded the case back to Portlaoise District Court on January 22 next year.
