Claim Alsatians attacked woman in Portlaoise

A pair of German Shepherds attacked a woman walking her dogs in Portlaoise, a sitting of Portlaoise District Court was told.
Magda Kryzszkowski, 24, of 36 Clondarrig Court, Bellingham, Portlaoise was accused of having no muzzle, licence and leash for one of the dogs. She was also accused of having uncontrolled dogs at Bellingham on July 30 last year.
Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said gardai received a report from a woman in relation to an incident at the estate at 9.30am on the day in question.
“While walking her two dogs she had been attacked by two German Shepherd dogs,” Sgt Kirby said the woman had claimed.
He said the defendant admitted the dogs were not on a lead. He said she had no previous convictions.
“She did not have a licence in her name for her dog at her home address,” said Sgt Kirby.
He said one of the dogs didn’t belong to the accused but she got a licence after the incident.
“You let two German Shepherds out to play in an estate?” Judge Andrew Cody asked the defendant.
She denied it was in an estate.
“If you are disputing the facts we will put it in for hearing,” said Judge Cody. He adjourned the case to October 24 for hearing.
