Double Laois lottery jackpot delight in Portlaoise just in time for Christmas
Lucky numbers picked by two players in the Portlaoise Parish draw
Two people are celebrating after sharing the jackpot in the popular Portlaoise lotto draw which has seen the top prize won for the second time in a month.
The top prize of €17,000 in the Portlaoise Parish Lotto was also shared again after the numbers were drawn on November 28 in the Portlaoise Parish Centre.
Lotto players Caroline Byrne and Bernie Condonwon €8,500 each when their numbers came up in the big community draw.
Lily Whelan was the promoter for Caroline while Bernie's promoter was Paul Dooley.
The winning numbers were: 4, 7, 11, 20. There were a massive 73 Match 3 winners who will be revealed on the Portlaoise Parish website on November 29.
The jackpot was won just two weeks earlier when three players shared the top prize.
The draw takes place every Thursday in the Portlaoise Parish Centre. It can go to a maximum of €20,000 if there is a run of draws with no jackpot winners.
It can be played online via www.portlaoiseparish.ie with proceeds going towards supporting the parish churches, schools and communities.
