End of landmark black and amber warning wall in Laois village

Laois County Council wants to replace painted warnings
A landmark black and amber painted wall in a Laois village is to be removed and replaced with a modern version.
Laois County Council will carry out the works at the dangerous corner in Rosenallis village at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains.
Cllr Seamus McDonald requested the work, in a motion to the October meeting of Mountmellick Borris-in-Ossory Municipal District.
Instead of the painted chequerboard warnings, the council will erect either wall mounted or pole mounted modern reflective signs. The new signs will be replaced in January 2025.
