Gardaí say reported standoff at estate on Laois Carlow border resolved

Gardaí say an incident at a house in Graiguecullen on the Laois Carlow border has now been resolved.
It was reported that there was a standoff between armed gardaí and a man at the house in the Heather Hill estate in Graiguecullen at around lunchtime today.
Gardaí said the matter, which was being treated as a mental health incident, has now been resolved. They said they would not be commenting further on the matter.
