How to get rid of your Christmas tree in Laois

Laois households can dispose of their Christmas trees at no cost, and do good for the environment.
Thousands of real Christmas trees have come down and the ideal solution is offered to households.
Laois County Council has opened its annual offer to take in real trees, free of charge, to be mulched for gardening.
The only stipulations are you have to bring the tree to them, at the Kyltalesha recycling centre, between Portlaoise and Mountmellick.
It has to be a real tree.
And they don't want any decorations or fairy lights left on.
"Christmas Trees are being accepted for recycling free of charge for the month of January at Kyletalesha Landfill. Please ensure to remove any lights and decorations beforehand. This refers to Real trees only," the council states.
