The HSE have issued another drug alert at the Electric Picnic festival.

The second alert relates to a white powder stimulant substance called 3-CMC which the HSE say is being sold as cocaine. The drug is circulating at the festival and was detected by the HSE's on site testing.

“We found the substance 3-CMC sold as cocaine at Electric Picnic. 3-CMC is a potent stimulant-type drug, which can make people feel unwell and lead to negative mental health reactions,” the HSE stated.

“Remember, don't be afraid to get help if you or a friend feel mentally or physically unwell,” they said.

The HSE issued an alert on Friday night when they tested ‘Purple Punisher Pills’ which they found to contain very high levels of MDMA. The tablets contained 246 Mg, or twice the expected adult dose of MDMA as an average ecstacy tablet. .
