Laois Camogie celebrates double recognition in Soaring Stars awards

It comes after both players were also nominated for Player of the Year
Laois camogie stars Clodagh Tynan and Aimee Collier have been honoured with prestigious PwC Camogie Soaring Stars awards for their outstanding performances in the 2024 season.
Their efforts helped Laois reach the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Premier Junior Championship final, where they finished as runners-up losing out to Tipperary.
Tynan was named at centre-back, while Collier was selected at full-forward, recognising their crucial contributions to Laois' impressive campaign. These awards highlight the strength and determination of the Laois team, who will now look to build on this year's success going forward.
Laois also got to the final of the league and the Leinster Championship. Unfortunately, they lost all three finals by a single point. Both players are also up for the award of PwC GPA Camogie Premier Junior Player of the Year.
Tynan had a superb year for Laois in her centre-back position. She came out with the sliotar in her hand on multiple occasions as well as popping up with long-range scores when her team needed them the most. None more so than when she scored 1-1 in her side's defeat of Cavan to reach the All-Ireland final.
