St Brigid's Camogie Club’s Clodagh Tynan vows not to leave anything undone in the year ahead

It was an unbelievable year for St Brigid's Camogie Club’s Clodagh Tynan who was the 2024 PwC GPA Junior Camogie Player of the Year. We asked the young player about her New Year's resolutions and hopes for 2025 and here is what she had to say.

“All resolutions are based and measured against the previous year's successes and failures. As 2024 finished in such a memorable way for me and as a team member of St Brigid's, all my goals and resolutions for 2025 couldn't exceed 2024,” said Clodagh.

However, the earlier part of the year brought a lot of disappointment through the losses with Laois at the final hurdles. So my resolution, which will be the same for all the Laois girls, will be to not leave anything undone and bring some silverware home in 2025.

And of course, with St Brigid's, we nearly pulled off an All Ireland club semi-final win in 2024, losing to the eventual All Ireland Club Champions. Having experienced that level of achievement it would be amazing to do something similar again not only for me and the other players but for the supporters too. It is hard to put into words the support we received from the local community and they were most definitely our 16th player.

Also personally, coming towards the end of the season with St Brigid's, I transitioned to shift work in my job. It proved difficult to strike a balance between the sport, work, friends and family. I hope to be able to achieve a happier balance because spending time with friends and family is so important. After all, without them all the successes would be less enjoyable.”
