Laois Gardaí issue appeal over assault on vulnerable adult

Laois Gardaí are seeking information in relation to an assault on a vulnerable adult.

They have issued a fresh appeal in relation to the assault which occurred in Mountmellick in June.  

“Mountmellick Gardaí are currently investigating an assault that took place on Connolly Street on the 26th of June, 2024, at approximately 8:30 PM. 

The victim is a vulnerable adult. While we have made progress in our investigation, we are urgently appealing to anyone in the local community who may have witnessed this incident to come forward and assist us. If you passed the location and believe you may have dash cam also let us know,” Gardaí said. 

They asked anyone with information to contact Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 867 4100.
