Laois Gardai visible on rail network over the Bank Holiday weekend

Gardai are continuing to police the rail network across Laois and Offaly.

“As part of Operation Scáthlán Portlaoise Community Gardaí were conducting patrols yesterday on the Portlaoise to Portarlington trains,”  Gardai said.

“The aim of the patrols is to provide high visibility and to engage with the public,” they added.

In recent months Gardai have held seminars with Irish Rail staff to improve cooperation on the rail network.
