Laois ICA guild to host Christmas crafts fair in Mountmellick
Craftmakers invited to book a table for festive December sale
Laois will offer plenty of Christmas craft fairs, and a lovely one is planned in Mountmellick, organised by the ladies in the local ICA guild.
Mountmellick ICA have announced that they are holding a craft fair on Sunday, December 8, from 12 noon until 4pm.
The guild have their own headquarters in their cottage on 1 Davitt Road, near the SuperValu roundabout.
Guild secretary Deirdre Dunne spoke to the Leinster Express / Laois Live.
"We had a successful Christmas craft fair last year so we decided to try make it an annual event. Right now we’re taking table bookings for crafters to sell and promote their craft. The event is open to the public and free entry on the day.
"There will be an array of crafts available as well as bric a brac, cake sale and a raffle. The purpose is to promote the ICA guild the work we do and encourage new membership and also to provide a space for local crafters to display, promote and sell their craft. Some of which are sustainably made.
"We hope to have a good attendance," she said.
Crafters are invited to contact them now to book a display table, for €20. Places are limited.
