Laois Ladies set for Cavan test in bid to preserve senior status

Match Preview and Team News
A year on from their victory over Clare in Kiltoom which secured their All-Ireland final place, Donie Brennan must now take his Laois Ladies' side to the same venue albeit in different circumstances.
Laois will take on Cavan in a relegation semi-final following Laois' failure to finish in the top two of their All-Ireland group. Mayo and Armagh recorded comfortable wins over Laois in the group stages. A loss for Laois will leave them facing a relegation final against either Waterford or Tipperary, who face off at the same time.
In terms of the game against Cavan, Laois have faced them already in the 2023 season. On that occasion, a hatrick from Mo Nerney sent them on their way to a 4-6 to 2-8 victory in The Rock GAA Club back in March. Laois have lost Erone Fitzpatrick to the AFL since this fixture as the Park-Ratheniska woman fired over four points in The Rock.
Cavan like Laois failed to win any games in their group with them grouped alongside Leinster champions Dublin and last year's All-Ireland finalists Kerry.
The Laois team news has been revealed with the side showing two changes from their game against Mayo. Eimear Barry and Andrea Moran come in to replace St Conleth's duo Naomi Luttrell and Eva Galvin.
