Laois LGFA club ready to drop a cow-sized twist on their next fundraiser
Bovine bingo with a twist with €400 on the line
Killeshin Ladies Football Club are bringing a touch of rural fun and a whole lot of cow-based suspense to their latest fundraiser, and there’s a €400 cash prize at stake.
Forget your typical raffle or cake sale. This one involves a live cow, a field full of numbered squares, and a healthy dose of luck (and maybe fibre). The idea is simple: if a bovine beauty does her business on your square, you're the lucky winner.
Adding an extra layer of intrigue, eight neighbours to the 'dunged' square will each pocket €20, meaning there's more than one reason to cheer when nature calls.
The light-hearted event promises laughs and community spirit, but also serves an important purpose by raising funds to support the club’s efforts on and off the pitch.
The unique contest will unfold at Killeshin GAA pitch on Sunday, June 22, at 2pm, and tickets cost €10 per square. Tickets can be purchased from any junior player, or via Revolut by contacting 087 3396532 (include your name and mobile number to receive confirmation). You can also get involved by reaching out to Ciara (085 2316725), Mary Claire (085 7531711) or Sandra (087 4170817).
