Midlands LGBT+ Project invite supporters to help organise third annual pride week

Laois Pride Week is returning in 2024 with even more energy and joy than ever.

The organisers, Midlands LGBT+ Project are starting their plans now for the 2024 event, the third annual celebration for Laois.

"Laois Pride is getting ready to blow 2024's socks off, so we're holding an information evening for anyone interested in getting hands on this year!

"We'll be covering all things pride; including fundraising, reaching out to local businesses and organisations that help us each year, planning, decorating (of course), and so, so much more!

Last year, Laois Pride Week ended with a colourful parade along Portlaoise Main Street. It followed a week of uplifting and fun events supporting and celebrating people from the LGBT+ communities around the Midlands.

Businesses are encouraged to get in on the support, by decorating their shopfronts in rainbow Pride colours.

The meeting will be held from 6-7pm, on Tuesday, February 13 in the Youth Work Ireland offices, on the top floor of JFL House, James Fintan Lalor Avenue in Portlaoise, eircode R32 W310.
