Laois school set to receive new artificial grass pitch very soon

Work has commenced on the work for Mountrath Community School

A Laois school is set to receive a new artificial grass pitch as the official work has commenced.

Sharing a post to social networking site LinkedIn, PST Sport, a Kerry based company who are working on the project shared images of the work so far, as a well as a spokesperson for the company saying: "Yet another new project started this week at Mountrath Community School in Co Laois where construction works have just begun for a 94m x 50m artificial grass pitch.

"The project scope includes removing the existing tarmac from a 2,500 sq/m area, followed by groundworks and drainage for the full 4,750 sq/m area, 2.4m high fencing, perimeter kerbing, divider netting, supply and installation of gates, 4 no. light bases & ducting for future lights, and the installation of 50mm artificial grass over shockpad.

"A second part of the project involves groundworks and drainage for basketball courts and the installation of 4 light bases. Stay tuned for progress updates!"
