Laois set for July soaking as Met Éireann issue Yellow weather warning

Localised flooding, difficulty travelling and poor visibility
There is no July heatwave in sight for Laois, just more downpours, and the next one will see Tuesday written off for going to the bog or hanging out washing.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow - Rain warning for the whole of Leinster, as well as Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Tipperary, Waterford.
"Rain becoming persistent and heavy at times.
"Potential Impacts: Localised flooding, Difficult travelling conditions, Poor visibility".
The warning kicks in at 4am this Tuesday morning, July 9 and is in place for a full 24 hours, up to to 4am Wednesday morning.
There is better news for next weekend however.
Friday will be "mostly dry with a mix of cloud and sunny spells with just a few light showers about. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees in mostly light northerly breezes. Current indications suggest that high pressure will continue to dominate next weekend bringing a mix of cloud and sunny spells with light winds and just a few showers."
