Portarlington hosts to events in December
Port Sounds and the Port Art Collective are proud to present not one but two Open Mic nights in The Anvil Inn this December 1 and 29, from 8.30pm.
Now running for almost a year the Open Mic nights are providing a successful showcase for the extraordinary musical talent in Portarlington and the surrounding area.
The music ranges from Rebel Songs to Rap and all points between. Much of the material is original and songs first played at Open Mic nights have gone on to get played on bigger stages at Forest Fest and beyond.
Indeed bands have formed or gained new members at the Open Mic nights. The room always has a warm, friendly atmosphere and new acts are always welcome, whether music, spoken word or performance art! It’s a great place to try out your new material or start from scratch.
Meet old friends and make new ones and each night comes with unexpected highlights.
