Lucky Laois parish lotto player scoops €10,000 jackpot

Kildare and Leighlin Diocese lotto was also won a week ago
A lucky Laois lady has won €10,000 in her local parish lotto, with the jackpot won for the second week in a row.
Ann Curtin from Ballyfin Parish is this week's jackpot winner in the Kildare & Leighlin Diocese Co-Op Lotto Draw.
Her winning numbers were drawn on Wednesday, August 14: 06, 09, 11, 15, and the winning ticket was sold to her by Denis Daly.
There are 58 parishes in the diocese that includes Carlow and parts of Laois, Offaly, Kildare, Kilkenny, Wicklow and Wexford, led by Bishop Denis Nulty. The combined lotto helps to fund parishes who participate, as well as the diocese itself.
On July 7, it had been the turn of Kildare to "Wynne" the €20,000 jackpot, scooped by Dick Wynne from Newbridge Parish.
In the latest draw, 33 Match 3s win €31 each this week, including five winners from Stradbally in Laois, six from Mountmellick, two from Ballyfin, and two from Abbeyleix. Next week's jackpot is €10,000.
