More roundabouts to get sponsored advertising signs in Portlaoise

Laois County Council invites businesses to help pay for roundabouts
Portlaoise is famed for its abundance of roundabouts and now Laois County Council is looking for local businesses to pay for the cost of maintaining them.
The council is advertising for businesses to come on board with sponsoring a roundabout, which will allow them to have a sign on it advertising their business.
"Laois County Council is inviting tenders for sponsorship of a number of roundabouts in Portlaoise town. Sponsorship will entitle the selected sponsor to have advertising rights on the roundabout for a specified period," they say
The tender documents are available from the council's roads department. They must be returned by August 16.
