Path clear for Laois pavement's repair

The path has been cleared to fix a footpath in Ballacolla.

That’s what Cllr Ollie Clooney, Independent, was told at a recent meeting with Laois County Council where he tabled a motion calling for the footpath outside the old Post Office in Ballacolla to be repaired.

Edmond Kenny, District Engineer, replied in writing that maintenance crews will attend to this path in the coming weeks.

Cllr Clooney was pleased. “It’s great to see the work being done,” he said.

The issue was raised at the December meeting of the Borris-in-Ossory Mountmellick Municipal District in County Hall Portlaoise.
