Department of Education seeks permission for modular heat pumps at school
A planning application has been lodged for a Portlaoise primary school to develop a new sustainable energy project.
The Department of Education is seeking permission from Laois County Council to install a sustainable energy compound to host six modular heat pumps, and all associated site development works at Portlaoise Educate Together, on the Stradbally Road.
The application was deemed invalid by Council planners due to a lack of distances and levels shown on the site layout plan. The Department will now have to resubmit the application.
