The leisure centre have yet to announce a reopening date.

Portlaoise swimming pool has been closed to the public due to ventilation issues.

The leisure centre is awaiting more information from a contract repair crew before a reopening time can be expected.

The ventilation system in the pool area failed earlier this week, forcing the pool to close its doors.

"We don't have a confirmed timeline just yet but have contractors due on site tomorrow and we are optimistic for a speedy resolution and will provide updates as soon as possible," Laois Leisure announced.placeholder image

While the pool area is currently closed to the public, the leisure centre gym and pitches are fully open and available for use.
