Portlaoise Leisure Centre

The Savoy Cinema in Portarlington first opened in 1945 and closed in 1989. It was acquired by a new operator and re-opened in August 1990 but closed its doors for the final time in the mid-1990s. The cinema is now to become an enterprise centre and has received climate action funding.
