Seven point turn ended badly for Laois driver avoiding checkpoint
Laois Gardaí say driver was disqualified from driving
Gardaí in Laois say a driver who was disqualified made a seven point turn in the middle of a road to avoid a checkpoint.
The driver, who was spotted in Borris-in-Ossory, was arrested following the incident and is set to appear before Portlaoise District Court.
“Nothing says "I'm completely innocent" quite like attempting a seven point turn in the middle of the road directly in front of a Garda checkpoint,” Gardaí said.
“Naturally, we were curious. It didn't take long to find out why. The driver was disqualified from driving.”
The driver was subsequently arrested and the vehicle was seized.
