Stradbally Electric Picnic group announce residents' ticket change

Committee say they have ‘listened’ to residents regarding ‘difficulties’ getting tickets
The sale of hundreds of full-price Electric Picnic tickets for Stradbally residents will be managed by the event’s organisers, according to the local committee, which has also revealed the number of such tickets that have been set aside this year.
The Electric Picnic Residents' Committee has said it “is delighted to announce” that, following ongoing discussions with Festival Republic, an allocation of 600 full-price weekend tickets for has been secured for this weekend.
The group, which has held two public meetings and consultation processes since last year, gave the update in a statement issued on July 1.
“As a committee, we listened carefully to the feedback from residents regarding the difficulties many experienced in securing weekend tickets this year. We took those concerns directly to Festival Republic and have continued to work closely with them to improve the process for our community.
“Festival Republic will manage the ticket sales directly. An email will be issued to all Stradbally residents who have previously registered their email address with the Electric Picnic Residents' Committee,” said the statement.
The committee advises anyone who receives an email to follow the instructions provided to submit their expression of interest. They say successful applicants will be eligible to purchase up to two weekend tickets at full price.
“To ensure fairness, all applications will be vetted to confirm a Stradbally address,” said the statement.
Recipients are asked not to forward or share the email, as it is intended only for the registered recipient. People were encouraged to monitor their emails over the coming days to avoid missing their opportunity. MORE BELOW PHOTO.

“Finally, we'd like to thank the community for your continued support. Your feedback helped shape these discussions, and we're pleased to have been able to work on your behalf to secure this opportunity. Best of luck to everyone applying and congratulations in advance to those who are successful,” concluded the statement issued on the group’s social media page.
Residents were previously notified in April that anyone who signed up for email notifications during registration or ticket collection in 2025 should have received an email regarding Electric Picnic tickets on April 24.
The group held a public meeting on April 28 to get feedback, questions and concerns local people wanted addressed. When the group held its AGM in February, local people were informed that the Committee met on 25 occasions in 2025/26.
Following on from a public survey completed by 70% of local people in the wake of the 2025 festival, the committee said it met with Gardaí to discuss key concerns raised, and would be meeting with Festival Republic and local public representatives to ensure residents’ voices are heard.
The Committee says it acts as a bridge between residents and festival organisers to raise issues, share updates, and help protect the interests of our community.
“We are your Electric Picnic Residents Committee, working on behalf of the local community to ensure that your voices are heard and that residents are supported before, during, and after the festival,” they have said previously.
