Suspended sentence for coughing in faces of Gardai

A woman who coughed into the faces of gardai has been given a suspended sentence.
Agnieszka Konarzewska, 54, of 1163 Drogheda Street, Monasterevin, Co Kildare was charged with two counts of Section 2 assault in relation to the incident at her address on August 15, 2020.
Sgt JJ Kirby said gardai attended the house and the defendant was verbally aggressive. “She pulled down her mask and coughed in Garda Mulcahy’s face,” he said. Sgt Kirby said the woman, who wasn’t present in court, then coughed into a second garda’s face.
Judge Andrew Cody sentenced the woman to two months which he suspended for two years. He issued a bench warrant for her arrest.
