Two Laois nature fans create new Bird Watch Youth Group
Two Laois teenagers who are passionate about wild birds, have taken the initiative to form a county group for all young birdwatchers.
Lucy Hood, 19 describes herself as "a passionate bird nerd", while Rossa Bracken, 14, from Camross is already experienced in taking wildlife photographs for his social media.
They are starting a birdwatch group for people aged 13+ with the support of Birdwatch Ireland (Laois Branch).
The group will include birdwatching trips around Laois and meetings to gather around and talk about all things to do with birds and nature.
Lucy and Rossa invite all teen and young adult nature lovers to come to their presentation on Tuesday, September 26 at 8pm in The Parish Centre, Portlaoise.
Anyone who is interested but cannot make the presentation, can email [email protected].
"We would love to hear from you," Lucy said.
