A €45,000 Telly Bingo ticket that was sold in Portlaoise has gone unclaimed.

The National Lottery confirmed no-one came forward to collect the prize within the allocated 90 days.

The winning ticket was purchased at Dunnes Stores in the Kyle Shopping Centre on James Fintan Lalor Avenue in Portlaoise on Tuesday, July 4.

The Snowball prize worth €45,075 was won in the July 14 draw. The winner had until close of business on  Thursday, October 12 to come forward and claim the prize.

“The National Lottery makes every effort to ensure all prizes are claimed, especially those in the higher tiers. We promote unclaimed prizes in local and national media, on our own digital channels and in-store nationwide to enhance the prospect of unclaimed prizes being collected,” a spokesperson said earlier today.

“Unfortunately, the winner never came forward so the prize is now expired. Under the terms of the licence, if prizes remain unclaimed for 90 days from either the draw date or close of the scratch card game, they become expired and must be utilised for the promotion of the National Lottery,” the spokesperson added.
