Gardaí give update on Rathdowney reported incident
A burglary case under investigation by Laois Gardaí has been dismissed following new information.
The investigation was into the disappearance of a power washer at an abattoir in Rathdowney, as reported to the Leinster Express / Laois Live on Monday, May 19.
The piece of valuable equipment luckily later turned up, having been borrowed by a relative.
The abattoir was at a butcher's business, and not Dawn Meats as had been reported.

There had been no burglary or theft involved. A Laois Garda spokesperson has confirmed that the case has been invalidated.
